I keep a limited log of past catches, and April is easily the worst month for me. There are many options in the summer and autumn. In winter I do not-too-badly for chub and perch on the river. By May the lakes are warming up for tench. But April.... Admittedly it's partly because I haven't been fishing so often in April. What do others find? What do you target in April? And do you choose canals or lakes?
