Hi all

I have received PMs from different people about dates they are not available in July plus now everywhere is booked up. I spoke to Manor Farm and they can only cater for 15 people/7 units so I have spoken to Paul at Greenhill Farm and provisionally booked us in there for the weekend of the 25/27 September 2009.

If we get over 10 pitches booked it will be £10 per night otherwise it's normal rates. I need to know approx numbers by the end of the month, or ASAP just to get an idea as the rally field is already booked Paul needs an idea, so he can allocate us a space.

I will sort out payment details etc later but at present it is just to get an idea of numbers. I have spare tents/bivvies etc should anyone need one, or some could share the 2or 3 bed ones we have.

There will be a lot going on at the weekend so watch out for more details of the weekend but the one thing for sure is that we will all have a great time in great company even if we don't catch much smile.gif (They are only small ponds there so no bivvying up beside them)

lyn

PS Can one of the mods please pin this with the other thread, thank you smile.gif

I'd be up for that Lyn.

That's local to me, so I'll come along for a day or two but won't camp.

Here's the website: http://www.greenhill-leisure-park.co.uk/fishing.htm

The pools sound small but apparently there's also a stretch of the Cherwell (good chub fishing and other river species) and Oxford canal (good for carp and other bits).

Nice one Lyn smile.gif

The pools are small and the River Cherwell & Oxford canal run together on the section we can fish. As this is more of a social to celebrate 10 yrs of Anglers Net with some fishing thrown in rather than the other way round, it was more a venue with easy access from all directions and that could cater for a lot of us. As I put in the other thread, there is a large dutch barn that is used as a games room that we could go in for the evening should we need to.

The Cherwell looked so inviting it may be worth finding out who has the fishing rights wink.gif I would still like to go to Manor Farm, maybe organise a small get together or a winter fish-in.

I am sure we can get some fishing matches organised along with BBQ etc

Sounds fun Lyn but dont think I will be able to make this one due to the dog.Harvington was good as my Mum is just up the road and she could have had him.

Would love to be there, but I'm up in the wilds of Lancashire and I don't drive.

Next time maybe?

Hi Budgie, I think dogs are allowed and also if there are less than 15 to celebrate 10yrs of Anglers Net then we could go to Manor Farm.

I will keep an eye out to see what happens then Lyn.If Manor Farm is over booked have you tried Anchor meadow campsite just a bit further along the track from Manor Farm?

Its very dissapointing that no one seems to interested especially as its been planned in a fairly centeral location.

May be central for some Budgie, but not for me I'm afraid. I was hoping it was going to be "all around to Eltons house" for the weekend smile.gif
