Hi all,
just had a paper clipping sent to me, it was in the supplement from the Daily Mail Sat 18 June. Evidently on DISCOVERY REAL TIME at 9.30pm on a Friday Ian Botham has a fly fishing series running, he just loves fly fishing. From what I read he is in some good company on the show, Eric Clapton, Mike Atherton and Chris Tarrant to name a few.

QUESTION IS, if anyone sees the show and can let me know if there is a CD on sale to accompany the series I would be most interested in any details of how to buy it.

Thanks in advance.

Alan
ps I am not asking anyone to tape it for me as that would be naughty smile.gif

C'est moi - I'm back.

Peace and mud etc, man.

Catch this other-forum discussion about the programme. Participants include two of Scotland's finest salmon flyfishers - 'Willie Gunn' (Malcolm Newbould) and G. Ritchie (real name).

Speyside fishing hut with a jacuzzi...

Oh, the Brave Fisher's life.

Thanks Paul, some interesting comments on there.

Seems like a few of us should not worry too much about our casting biggrin.gif

Still interested in it though, fishing is fishing no matter how bad we are.

Cheers

Alan

The likes of Botham, Tarrent, Athers etc all help to bring angling to a wider public.
Quite a number of non anglers at work enjoy following the exploits of Wilson, Hayes et'all.
This can only be a good thing and perhaps a few out there attempt of have a go themselves.

Oh, places I simply couldn't mention, Andrew.

10.25-pound, fly-caught, sea-trout (my second-largest Brit-caught sea-trout) about a fortnight ago...

Less said the better - careless talk costs lives, you know.

Hi Alan,

Caught the end of the Botham, Clapton episode on Friday night, had to wait for my wife to finish watching the BB evictions. sad.gif

They were fishing the Rivers Meon and Test, locally to me, waiting for the repeat.

Just had a look on the Discovery website no mention of a DVD yet, but there is a bit on the programme:

There you go.
