Whilst off near Whitby tonight we were lucky enough to see some doplhins pass on our inside. We were roughly 50-100 yards away at one point.

Good pictures, we had a big pod of porpoises along side us on Monday last offside of Skinningrove but your's look like dolphins to me as the dorsal fin is different and in a different position on its back when compared to porpoises

Just be careful of the pollock police, they know where you live and might just knock on your door one dark night

Hi Brian,

I've had them confirmed as bottlenose Dolphins.

No pollock were harmed in the making of this topic. To be honest I dont eat pollock so they all go back, not that I would ever begrudge anyone taking them or taking as many as they wanted.
