I tried to register so I could have a 'consultation' but it wouldn't let me. Has anyone else tried?

Ive had a quick read of the attached docs and some stuff the two Brians kindly put me on to.

And it took all this time, all these clever people and all of "our" money to work out that the amount of commercial fishing needs to be limited! rolleyes.gif

I know sport fishermen all ways blame the commercial guys for any decline in fish stocks but in this case surely it was obvious due to the fact that so many anglers couldnt see a decline and all the statistical evidence which showed the decline was in fact real was based on comercial catchs/sites?

plenty caught at the pond lately! i get complaints biggrin.gif
probably because billions of prospective eels are caught as they arrive here and sold to foreigners ,if they aint coming upstream less will grow in your lakes and ponds canals and rivers and go back down .bit of logic really

Only 15 years or so ago, Goring was famed for its beach 'Eel Match', which although never advertised as such, gave match eel weights of 20lbs +.

No longer so!

In the old Conoflex Solent League we used to target them and put most, if not all, back!

There used to be fyke nets at the entrances to Chi and Langstone Harbours ... no more.

I understand cod, sole, plaice ....

oh, booger, most of the fish I used to catch, have been overfished by somebody?

Not me!
