Ha! I met a couple of anglers there this time last year who'd travelled a fair distance to fish it on the strength of that report. Not sure what they were expecting but they looked very disappointed when they saw the snaggy side stream.

Drat - if it's the 26th Jan edition I assume it will be too late, and I don't think you can get back copies? Were they fishing the back stream or the canalised bit where it comes in? Did they catch anything interesting?

It was just one of those "places to fish" type things. No details apart from its free and which bits of the back stream and canalised bit you can fish. Said whats in there, dace, chub, Barbel and Bream! and as Mr Plumb posted said it was a good grayling water??? It was only a small paragraph.
