That is hot if you aren't prepared for it. Any clue on how long it might last?
We've been hitting 35-36º every day for the past week or so which is not that unusual for us in mid-late July but even so, it is HOT and a good time to stay in the shade. I do not envy you folks while this is going on. -------------------- "Democracy dies when the people wanting their government to take care of them outnumber those wanting to take care of themselves." - Author Unknown - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |

I do not envy you folks while this is going on. I know - it's going to be a real bugger. Laptop in the garden, cool can of fizzy by my side. Just the sound of the pond waterfall and the birds to keep me company. If it gets too hot, I may have to escape indoors to watch a bit of Wimbledon. Got to wait until October for that to happen, then we have those temps for about 4 months. -------------------- ![]() Cheers, Bobj. |

32C! On the days that it is well into the 40'sC we pray for a day as cool as that! Mind you, we don't have the humidity you guys have and when it is mid 30's here, we hardly notice it. In fact until the temperature reaches 33C it is not officially classified as a hot day.

We are off to Tropical Wingham today.
Don't expect the same extremes as in the Namib Desert last year, but will take plenty of water and a sunhat. -------------------- RNLI Governor

They will be giving out little leaflets at the airports soon........ As Newt said, it's the changes that catch people out and the temperature as such. Also our high temps have been loaded up with humidity. I had it up to 70% yesterday and probably mid 20's. Now it's reading just under 27C and 60% humidity in the house. Oh and I'm here just waiting to hit the dentists in an hours time - what nice weather to be sweating on the dentists chair whilst being drilled <edit> Just had a thought, if anyones remotely interested, here's a weather station just a few miles from here - with a couple of webcams. Clifton weather site Rob. This post has been edited by RobStubbs: Jun 29 2009, 09:31 AM -------------------- |
