On Holiday for a week from 30th July, at Nodes Point, IOW. I will take my Bass rod, for light bottom fishing or spinning. Never fished the IOW, any advice would be a great help.

Can you catch stingers there in july??
 abit sport for the bass rod me thinks...

Bembridge Bay and St Helens area, so at that time of year evening or morning shore fishing for bass should be excellent. You need to get local advice for marks, and I can't help much as I fish that area from my boat. This bass was caught just a mile or so off shore from that spot last July
 I'm convinced that lure fishing from the shore for bass in Summer will catch many times the number caught bottom fishing with bait. -------------------- East Hampshire Boat Anglers www.boat-angling.co.uk

Fish on Bembridge sands or at the northeast point of the island near the fort.
