Defra have organised a meeting in Redcar on the 7th of April to discuss matters relating to the proposed sea licence and its implications for sea anglers, guess what date in March the consultation process closes

Just goes to show what a sham the RSA strategy consultation is, doesn't it Brian? If they were going to take notice of the responses sent in by anglers, they wouldn't even be considering a sea angling licence, and yet here they are arranging meetings to discuss it a week after the consultation ends. You would think, in the interest of creating the illusion, they would at least wait until they've had all the responses in.

Anyone else get the feeling that it's already been agreed and decided?

Brian, The meeting on 7th. April at Redcar is nothing to do with DEFRA. It is the North Eastern Sea Fisheries Committee consultation evening to discuss shellfish management. The meeting with DEFRA to discuss/protest about proposed rod licences is at SCARBOROUGH angling club at 7.30pm. tonight.
It is an open meeting and everyone who can should attend. You will not get another opportunity.
