I paid £125.00 for my rake
 All ally sections, goes out 50 feet (or more if you have more sections)No throwing, just push it out , let it sink, and pull back. Next time push it out 2 feet to left or right and repeat. I can clean a strip about 8 feet wide by whatever length I need, in a few minutes. And I can tell you what the botom is like I have used a throwing rake in the past, but I found it very ineficient and innacurate. If it gets stuck, then push back, turn over and it comes free. And that is the problem/downfall of any "rake" that has to be thrown. I will have a word with the guy who made mine, and see if he will let me put a video on Utube  They do seem a bit expensive to start with, but should last for years and years. Almost exactly the same, including the vane on the front end to keep it up whilst "surfing" in fact, the more I read about it, the more I see similarities Looking at the video on Ebay, you can hear the rake scraping on the gravel bottom Certainly puts paid to the idea of patenting it....already been applied for!
