"One of the nation’s biggest commercial venues has announced plans to create a lake capable of giving anglers a new personal best with every bite. "

Why would you want to fish a water like that? Isn't fishing meant to be a challenge?

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Double-figure barbel, chub to more than 5lb and crucians and perch to 4lb apiece will be found alongside shoals of big bream.

Sounds perfect! You can get your year's worth of fishing done in one day rolleyes.gif

Seasonal fishing for species suited to the conditions on the day? It'll never catch on!

I'm struggling to get my head around this seasonal fishing stuff. No wonder I blanked at the weekend, it must have been the wrong time of the year to be going after cats. Well it sounds better to claim I was after the cats, then to admit I blanked while after the Pike biggrin.gif
