It's about what could happen here if the cranks who claim to represent anglers are allowed to continue with their crusades.

A lot of them have used Amercia as an example of how they think things should be in the world of angling. Which explains a lot.

RSA strategy, anyone?

If I had a quid for every RSA rep that has said, 'well, in a America'..........

The funniest thing to me was the number of them that have either never been there, or have never fished there.

I don't think many anglers in the US (unless they are staunch Republicans - cue Newt ) take much notice of what is Anti Obama political rhetoric, rather than a fair representation of the facts.

Well here's what the ASA (American Sportfishing Association) have to say on the matter!

Same old crap. The meddlers don't acheive anything, they don't do anything positive, they have nothing in their armory to make things better, ziltch. It's all about restrictions, yet they call it balance. It's rubbish. Don't they have any idea to make something as apposed to taking something away. Lundy is a prime example of restriction, yet where is the positive, there ain't one.

The only thing of value in this link was the suggestion of an artificial reef and that is as far as it got. Load of dirge.

They love it Barry. The idea of having similar restrictions over here excites the meddlers no end. The infamous MPA "discussion" paper is their equivalant of pornographic literature. It doesn't matter whether anglers are restricted or not, because most meddlers hardly ever fish. To them, every angler restricted increases their chances of catching something when they do venture down to the water. Perverts.
