Abu Suveran SX, works well for Suffolk.

Eerr where do you fish from and how well can you cast a whole squid & a 5 oz breakaway ?

Any Kelp in your region ?

LOL :D

The Zziplex HST gets rave revues as an allrounder. The Reelsport response is said to be very underated.

Coming at it from a completely new direction are the 16 foot rods like the Shakespeare K2. They are catching on like wildfire up here in the north east. Coupled with a daiwa fixed spool reel they put big casting potential into the hands of average anglers like myself.

I think its all a case of personal choice. Ask 20 anglers and youll probably get 15 different answers. I tried a Century CM and hated the ruddy thing, however I now love my Greys Sintra. I'm sure youll find several anglers who will say the opposite. If you like a rod and it feels good it dosent matter how much it costs
Just one big fish, PLEASE!!!!!!

How long's a piece of string?

Used to use Conos, then graduated to Zippys; now a big fan of Jules' ANYFISHANYWHERE collection.

At the moment my favorite is my Century kompressor Match followed by my Tip tornado match.I have recently placed an order for a pair of custom built Kompressor sports as i am fishing more rough ground now so i might change my mind!!

I have had a few zipplex rods but wont get another as they went "floppy" on me so i will stick to Century.

For a cheaper choice of rod my favorite has to be my Daiwa supercast sts13pm.....also a quality rod....this is now used by my lad when he fishes with me ,but i wont give it to him!...as i love it!

I am a huge fan of greys Mk1 PZ Match rods... I have a pair and love them to bits. Not quite up to rough ground fishing as the tip is too soft, but for mixed and clean ground they are spot on. Light, great action, look fantastic :)

:D Whichever one you can cast and catch fish with. Mine varies, depending on the mood I'm in and what I'm after. Probably my Daiwa AWB 126 or Zzipplex GS Special Match most of the time but I love my Conflex Source and Shakespeare K2's as well.
