Hi All.

Caper Angler....M.B.M.....nice Yak.

One of the guys I fish with has one , and is very happy with it.

So you are to be the father of two :D .

Been knocking up a crate for the XT , quite pleased with it.

Just waiting for the hatch to turn up now.

Will then be fitting the finder.

Hi YY, not thinking about the yaks much atm ; they have been covered in snow for two days this week :D

While dreaming of warmer places came across this story from Florida

where a couple of kayakfishers beat all the power boaters in a tournament! :D:D The photos are great, esp the one with the 30,000 dollar powerboats pulled up alongside the yaks :):D

Any idea how the stringers that they use to tow the fish along work though?

Hiya Jaffa.

SNOW.......whats that?? :D

Great story , I can imagine what the boat guys thought, like one guy said , "some head shaking going on" :D

Slow and silent approach worked for them on that day.

No idea on the stringers they use mate.

We will have to have a look around and see.

When you see the places those guys fish  ........green.......no not REALY.

YY, I liked the guys signature:

"But, it was a hecka of a sight......$500,000 worth of boats, towers, and trailers at Cockroach Ramp, and the guys who won picked their boats up by hand and walked home past all of us............"

Maybe just get a Yak and carry that around as well.. Read that theres now a charter boat in Florida ("Yak Attack") with racks to carry customers yaks to remote sites; they get the best of both worlds that way i guess, effortless trip then the stealth of the yak on the fishing ground. Wonder if we will see it here one day, maybe over the West coast?
