One of the guys I fish with has one , and is very happy with it.

So you are to be the father of two .

 

Been knocking up a crate for the XT , quite pleased with it.

Just waiting for the hatch to turn up now.

Will then be fitting the finder.

Hi YY, not thinking about the yaks much atm ; they have been covered in snow for two days this week

 

While dreaming of warmer places came across this story from Florida

where a couple of kayakfishers beat all the power boaters in a tournament! The photos are great, esp the one with the 30,000 dollar powerboats pulled up alongside the yaks

 

Any idea how the stringers that they use to tow the fish along work though?

Great story , I can imagine what the boat guys thought, like one guy said , "some head shaking going on"

 

Slow and silent approach worked for them on that day.

 

No idea on the stringers they use mate.

We will have to have a look around and see.

When you see the places those guys fish ........green.......no not REALY.

I wonder if any of the boat guys have converted.

It must have stired thier curiousity.

Lots of boats for sale in the papers the following week

Maybe just get a Yak and carry that around as well.. Read that theres now a charter boat in Florida ("Yak Attack") with racks to carry customers yaks to remote sites; they get the best of both worlds that way i guess, effortless trip then the stealth of the yak on the fishing ground. Wonder if we will see it here one day, maybe over the West coast?

Would certainly be a bit of fun.

Mother ship to wreck , play with the Pollock etc.

Easey ride home...........bacon sandwitch and hot coffee....would miss the paddle though

Its bound to be tried at some point.

 

Fancy going halves on a boat

St Kilda would be good That would be a trip and a half; solid seaboat out there, then yaks to fish and explore the seacaves

 

Might be expensive though..
