How long before the ice is solid up there?

Yes Newt, a steelhead is a migratory rainbow trout. The 17 was a riot! Only problem was the ice forming on the guides and line made casting difficult.

 

We have had ice on the lakes nearly 6 weeks. We are having a

rather severe winter so far, with over 6 feet of snow already, and a foot of ice on the lakes. Looks to be a long one, for sure.
