Do yourself a fovour and stick the rod back on e-bay and hope you dont make a loss. Then raid your piggy-bank and head to here : http://www.veals.co.uk/. or see if you can still get one of the Airflo Delta+ 8/9 on sale for £40.Match this with an Okuma Airframe 7/9 reel , 100 yards of 20lb dacron backing and a reasonable flyline like the Shakespeare Worcestershire Intermediate WF8 or 9 line.

jeepster:

if andrew wants to keep it cheap, theres a bit of a difference between 10 quid and 40 quid.......

Not as big as the difference as between that "thing" he's picked up of e-bay and a modern rod. Cheap is one thing.....Value formoney and usability another.

Andrew,

I think you may have made a balls up there. Is this reel capable of taking a WF9 line? Please please please stop and think about what your buying, ask questions first. Youve bought the gear to have fun...and theres no fun in using unsuitable gear.
