Sleeping Bags

Hi all

Have been looking at buying a sleeping bag, the one i have at the moment is not a carp bag, but a nomal 5 season bag, its all well and good but getting out of it is a pain and it is a bit restricting on the old movement side.

So I have decided to go ahead and by a carp one, I am looking at buying one for about £40 quid, so the one that springs to mind is Trackers big snooze, have also been looking at the TFG X-Tuff Extreme Sleeping bag. Both of these seem ok, espically the Big Snooze.

Does anyone have any advice or experiences with these or similar bags? Would like to know before I seperate with my pennies.

cheers

I have the trakker - might even be the big snooze. It's a great bag, with tons of room - like a duvet ! And it's very warm. I use a lighter weight gardner one most of the time though (even midwinter), as I hate being too hot.

I wouldn't waste my money on a sleeping bag produced by one of the fishing specialist manufacturers they are too bulky and overpriced for what you are getting.

For general summer autumn and spring fishing you would do a lot worse than getting hold of the British Army Sleep System which can be seen here Note it has a central zip which is the easiest and quickest way to get out of any bag and by having a single zip it is warmer than one with zips down each side.

If I was flush and wanted an all year bag I would get one of these from Snugpack made for our special forces see here for details

What the SnugPack one or the Sleep system, I must admit if I could justify it I would love to get the former; I might even do more night fishing

Outstanding guys, cheers. One question, how easy is it to get out of the british army sleep system?

I feel the same about the brand products but i do like the aspect that you can get out of them quickly. I must admit i am tempted by the british army sleep system.
