Sorry Polly, but not quite what im lookin for. Thanks for the offer though. Oh the only thing I may be interested in is the Chub chair. Would you do it for £15?

Tbone

Sorry mate, not worth letting it go for that, I'd rather keep it for 'er in doors to use. It's 5 years old and used but is a good quality chair with 4 adjustable legs, cost me £69.99 new

its not the chair its the little lable ,you can get chairs you can use for angling or you can get chairs designed to be used for angling being designed for angling ensures (to a point) it will stand up to angling abuse (try sitting on a £2.99 seat on a sloping swim) the little badge costs the moste :D

Whoah! what kind of chair is it to be worth 70 quid?

It was bought before all the "cheapo" tackle landed on the market. Not saying it was worth that much but just think back a few years!!! Fishing tackle prices have been hammered down for the last few years.

On the Fox (label( issue Chesters, you pay for quality and Fox gear lasts a lifetime if looked after which is more than can be said for cheaper copies. I agree there are tackle tarts about but I'm currently upgrading my gear to Fox kit because I have the cash now and want it to last. Wont be able to afford good kit when I've retired.

Absolutely agree on the fox thing. I have loadsa fox gear and i have to say its worth the cash. You have to pay more if you want quality! (sort of contadicting myself on the chair thing! :D )

I work on a different principle. I know what I want my tackle to do and therefore buy whatever best fits the bill. No supplier has a monopoly on the best products, and I don't therefore have a favourite make.

I also find that many of the most popular makes have become so because of expensive marketing campaigns. I don't therefore agree with tbone that you have to pay more if you want quality.

One of the great advantages of the internet, and particularly sites like Angler's Net, is that good quality, good value gear gets highlighted.
