ok thank Steve, Dont need to get a bed-chair under it lol. couldnt carry it on me bike lol. any chance you could take some piccies when you next have it up please matey?

 

And will it fit a chair under it as a brolly would? Thanks and sory for so many questions.

Will do with pics but at the moment I'm travelling light. That's the advantage of being retired and being able to choose which days I fish!

 

Chairs, including high back ones are no problem at all.

no need for sewing in the early 60's when such things were rare a piece of material wide enough to touch the floor and long enough to go round the brolly was used one section was folded back (later to be known as the "door") was simply hung from the umbrella ribs via a small split ring (pull off the cover put on ring relpace cover) with curtain hooks ,served its purpose for years

My first "bivvy" was an old bit of lorry tarpualin rigged in much the same way as Chesters describes. I to have a brotel and can vouch for it.Im sure there is a review on FishingMagic of the DeLuxe Relum version. Will try and find it as it will give you some idea.

Another big fan of the deluxe brotel here, great piece of kit for keeping you out of the elements.

 

Here's a pic i've found....

 

 

The brotel can be altered in shape slightly for height and depth. Pegging the rear two spars so the back of the brolly is in a straight line brings the front down to offer slightly more overhead cover, in the picture you can see that the two spars are pegged forward of the main pole which increases the height.

I've just googled a search for deluxe brotel, but maybe got my wires crossed because the website I got had lots of pictures of naked ladies & said something about what sounded like parachutes, so I've booked myself in for a jump on saturday night! Tallyho.
