Sorry Elton, but I finally couldn't resist getting afloat, so I've gone and bought myself a boat, thanks Alan.

Cheaper to run than Children Nick. Its a shame to see her go but I know you will get a lot of pleasure out of her. At 25knots with 2 people how long will it take you to get to Davy and Linda by sea? :-)

Well Lochaline is about 33 miles by sea so I guess running at 25knots all the way it would take just over an hour.

 

Better than my current journey which is a ferry journey of 2 hours followed by a road journey of about 70 miles which takes another 2 hours.
