What is surprising me is the amount of people holding back on this one. Can't see what they hope to gain by doing it though. Two bids so far but an absolute stack of 'watchers'! There was a similar rod last week that went for 70+ quid. Despite that it is a relatively rare rod, especially in good nick. I expect most know the sort of money it will go for, so why hold back? Seems I am missing something!! Me, if I want it, I put in my maximum and let e-bay do my bidding, simple.

i was going to take one for an outing this weekend but despite cleaning the ferrules (real metal stuff) it sticks like a good-un and annoys the mrs "helping " me get it apart everytime i think i'v cured it :D

only medium weight but might have been fun if bass were around, certainly better than dragging them in fightless on a beachcaster

Been following this one Peter and missed the end, but well done!! Now I have an ABU rod which is I believe a bit of an old bugger too! I'll dig it out and get some pictures but suffice to say it is a brown glass rod I think with the twisted wire rings and it also extends form around 6 to 8 feet. Can't remember model but I will have a look and post a pic. See if I too have a £90 rod??

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Hello all, what you can do if youre looking for a price guide on Ebay is search for the item in question then once the search is done you will find a check box down the left hand menu which says 'completed items' - put a tick in there then just below that click the 'search button. This will bring up all of those items sold recently (sold items show the price in green, unsold in black or red) - hope this is of use.

Good luck.

Alan.
