I've been treated for hypertension since I was 19. It's a male trait in my father's side of the family.
As for fishing, I was told that a gentle walk of slowly increasing distance is therapeutic. This is why the Bridgewater Canal is so good for me - it's an easy walk from the railway station at Runcorn - driving is a no-no. I travel very very light. All the conveniences I could possibly need are less than 200 yards away - some as close as a shout acrss the road - and if all else fails, there's an undertakers next to the pub!
What I have learned is where my limitations are right now, and I want to keep well within them this time.
You have no idea how grateful I have been for the good wishes though, as for a while I felt very isolated (300 miles!)from my immediate family, and although I have the love of a good woman, she is worrying more than me - which was stressing me out a bit!
Not a happy bunny :-(
