Pit reel

I'm looking at getting 2 pit reels for carp fishing but dont want to spend hundreds and I have found this:

I'm always wary and don't know the make so I won't get them. It's cheap so how good it is and how long it'll last, who knows. I'd personally prefer a decent 2nd hand one such as the daiwa emblems but that could just be me.

Yes, total fishing, and that's the RRP so im thinking it'll be ok?

Just checked and it's the same reel for a similar price so you might as well get it from Fishtec. Can't say whether they're any good or not though as I've never used them.

You'd do well to look at them in the flesh as well. I notice they do a long cast version or big pit (I forget which) - so check the model you want is a large reel suitable for long range casting (assuming that's what you want it for).

Yes they do a power cast and distance cast, not sure what the difference really is. I forgot to check that it has baitrunner, presumabely it should but i don't see any info on it

If it doesn't mention baitrunner, then I'd pretty much guarantee it doesn't have one. Most of the big pit reels don't - which is one of the reasons I stopped using the ones I bought and bought the shimano big pit baitrunenrs (or whatever they're called).
