Wingham Fish-In

Recommended Posts

I've already had an e-mail asking about the dates of the next Wingham Fish-In so that the right days could be booked off work. As many of you will be sorting out your annual leave now, I'm posting the dates here on the Forum. They're Sat May 22nd to Monday May 24th.

Wingham Coarse Lake is a syndicate gravel pit in Kent that's normally members only. For those of you who don't display signatures here's a link to the Wingham web site: http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/fisheries/wingham.htm

We got beaten by the weather last year but previous Fish-Ins have produced bream to 16-06, tench to 10-04 (and averaging nearly 8lbs!) plus perch to 3-09.

For the last 4 years' catch reports see http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/Wingham...am+catch+report and http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/Wingham...am+catch+report and http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/Wingham...am+catch+report and http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/Wingham...am+catch+report

Peggy will be doing her optional huge BBQ each lunchtime at a cost of approx £5 per day. As always though the fishing itself is free of charge.

Anyone who's made at least 1 post on the Forum when I start taking bookings is invited, but if I'm oversubscribed priority as usual will be given to those who haven't been before.

However please note that I won't be taking bookings until approx May 1st.

Cheers, guys. Thanks very much. Steve Campbell (Wyeknot) plans to do his early breakfasts in the clubhouse for guests, and may appreciate some help with the cooking.

As you three know Peggy and I are very short of time these days, hence less posting on the Forum. However, although it's a lot of hard work for all the team, we wouldn't miss the fun of putting on the AN Fish-In!

We would love to come again, I am still after one of those tench or perch or both. Just the social is good, seeing everyone makes the 100 mile drive worth it.

how can anyone plan that far apart ? we can only plan in fortnightly jumps .

as all our bills are paid in the first week of the month the 22 is probably the time money sits waiting for this drain bung in buying something that needs replacing and we get extremely confused

yep looking at my calender the 26th is the payday reserved in may for the june outflow the 12th when money is "vacant" :D never mind! one day :D

probably as its still mid season were more likely to be at the warren about the 12th, weve been out-prised by the high season charges now
