Another let down I cannot see me going to that event again, but then I may just to see old friends. As for the exhibition I thought

it was very poor and missing some of the main people. One reason for this I beleave is the high prices for space. The tackle trade should do their own and move it around the country, ie Harrogate, Manchester, Newcastle and Wembley they all have exhibition centres large enough for the event and you are not held to ransome for meals and drinks you can nip out to the pub and or a cafe.

In my 'real' life, I work in the gift industry and what you have suggested is starting to happen with us. Alternative trade fairs are cropping up, often organised/financed by the larger players in the market.

YES - tottaly agree!

I went to the same two years ago and have never returned. Instead i travel to the smaller regional events/exhib's and have found some fantastic bargains.
