Guilty Plea by £250k Fish Smugglers - Result for Angling Trust funded initiative on Fish Related Crime

At Canterbury Crown Court on 21st March 2011 James Robert Selvey, a 30 year old transport operator from Staines in Middlesex and Johan Anthony Boutkan, a 51 year old HGV driver from Horsham in Sussex both pleaded guilty to two offences contrary to the Animal and Animal Products (Import and Export) Regulations 2006. Both offences carry a maximum penalty on indictment of 2 years imprisonment. Following guilty pleas by both men Judge O"Mahoney adjourned sentence until 23rd May 2011.
