Now you can express your support, or your opposition, right to the horses mouth! Wonder if Theresa Thom will register!

Dear Adrstuart. Quite a number of AN memebers did go on the march. Even more did not!

The issue of the CA has been well discussed in the past, with two firmly entrenched points of view.

On balance I feel that the majority of us, thankfully, saw right through the CA's grubby tactics in trying to involve anglers in fighting the CA's lost causes. The others felt equelly strongly that we were wrong. At the end of the day we had to agree to disagree, and remain friends.

You might like to check the AN archives.

With the latest revelations that fish don't feel pain we are even more different to those who advocate hunting with hounds. Quite frankly I have no problem with hunting with hounds but that does not mean I want to join up with them in THEIR fight. I urge all anglers to keep apart from them and not allow us to get dragged in. We do not want the public to confuse the two issues. most people in this country DO have a problem with hunting with hounds but have no strong views about fishing (Apart from the beady weady veggie eating brigade).

Peter. It is an issue that I feel passionately about, just as Den does!

I agree entirely with what you have said. Apart from the bit about veggies. One of my daughters is a vegetarian, and a keen angler! She refuses to buy Linda McCartney products because of PETA.

I would suggest that your opinion is widely held amongst anglers.

Sorry Peter I have no problems with vegetarians. Sorry if It looked like I was showing disrespect.I have a problem with PETA who force thier belifs on others and the Countyside Alience who I feel used by.
