A KAYAKER helped save the life of his friend after he fell into the sea a few hundred metres from a Gower beach.

The man and his friend from Swansea had set off from Knab Rock earlier for a day's fishing.

Anchoring in a strong tide is dodgy. He couldn't have followed the correct procedure for deploying his anchor. I assume he had an anchor trolley fitted. Hope he practices his re-entry drill , if you can't re- enter, you shouldn't be at sea in a kayak.
