They need to be a bit smaller than that for the BBQ.Just enough so you can get a skewer through them and have a good mouthful, that one is a weeny bit on the big side at least 2 mouthfuls :D

Hi Glen,

Can't help noticing that the bass you caught looks right small - how long was it? Did it meet the minimum standards?

{admin note: unless you have reason to doubt the weight he stated on the opening post, this comment is uncalled for. GlennK has been with us a while and even with all the personal attacks we get on the conservation forum and occasionally on this one, him taking undersize fish and lying about it has not been mentioned before.

I'm leaving the comment but I think it is out of order. I have to wonder if the problem is that a regular on the sea and conservation forums posted a photo of a nice catch from a yak is the problem.

Don't often post on this web forum, but I'd like to forward a comment to Elton - what the fk are you doing with the long banner adverts? You log on to read a post - not to scroll down a page of adds - most irritating :clap2:

Yeah I was thinking the same thing Marc, looked a bit dodgy that to me really should have gone back Glenn, it's not really on killing these small bass

{admin note: see my comment on the previous topic. Unless you have better grounds than a photo that looks like a very legal fish, this accusation strikes me as being in very poor taste unless you are having a go at a friend which is not the case here.

It was legal size and legal to take. I was really pleased of catching my very first plug bass and decided I wanted to post on here about it. In the same session I caught roughly 7 or 8 fish and returned all of them, .......................

Now I'm the first to admit that my eyes are'nt as good as they used to be but I can't see anything wrong with the fish to me.

Looks over 40cm, and thats well over the legal minimum, and could be even longer given the weight

Its a bad time if you can't post pictures of fish you've caught and intend to eat without the small minded minority having a pop, what is it with bass that some people think they're so special that you can't take one home for the pot, good for you Glen in putting up the photo
