Norm B, it's always good to use your own stuff but I was happy enough with the gear they had on the charter I used. Not to heavy to take all the fun out of playing the Roosters. It can be a bit of a dissapointment if all the gear on a boat is not up to scratch or is to heavgy for your target species

:clap3: Tell me about it. The boat had 80lb gear for the sails and 30lb gear for the roosters. The boss explained that most of their customers were American tourists and didn't have a lot of idea about playing fish, they just wanted a photo of them with a fish and he didn't want a lot of fish swimming around towing line. He did say I could use the 30lb gear for the sails if I wanted to. I took a bass rod and a Daiwa F/S with 15lb braid for the roosters and a Daiwa 2 speed multiplier LD with 30lb braid and 12/30 S/U rod for the sails and tuna. I also took another 2 speed LD to test but it failed. I also took another F/S to test and that was OK not spectacular but good for the money. :clap3:
