The summer has finally arrived. The lakes are responding well to evening hatches. Plenty of Pond Olives and Beetles are showing and if you can match the hatch there can be some excellent catches. The lakes are now open until 9pm each evening with an evening sporting ticket from 4pm only costing £12
The Rainbows are picky about what they feast on during the day but become easier early morning and late evening  Mr Johnston of Leeds started our week of with 16 rainbows the best weighing in at 5lb.  Peter Woods of Durham with his 12 year old first timer son Paul had 12 fish in total, however Paul beat his dad with 8 rainbows to his 4 rainbows, all of which he landed herself on a 6 foot weight 4 river rod . Stephen Williamson of Crook caught one rainbow of 12lb and returned a further 6 on all caught on Beetles.
The lakes are now open from 8am until 9pm every day
