Anyone planning to do any zander fishing at the reservoirs this autumn?

 

I've just started booking some boats and buying a load more bits and pieces in readiness, really looking forward to it :)

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

First go of the year tomorrow, can't wait :) I won't have an echo sounder which is something of a handicap so I'll have to focus on areas I've caught from in the past and just keep trying different drifts. I can drop an H block marker to mark the start of the drift and if/when I find fish. I have now written 'please do not move' on them as last year the windsurfers kept picking them up and bringing them back to us saying 'excuse me, I think you dropped this' :rolleyes:

 

On a related note I am looking out for a good, cheap second hand echo sounder if anyone has one to sell?

Forget the 2nd hand echo sounder, just bought a new one (oops).

 

Did you buy a boat to go with that echo sounder? :D A boat that you can bring back and use on the Thames???? :P:P

Anderoo,Kappa confused face have you both taken the plunge and bought boats??

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales

No...not yet anyway...

 

So far just the stuff needed for hired boats at the reservoirs (echo sounder, drogues, etc.) although I can see it's a very slippery slope...and a financial black hole!

 

Ps Chris, I'll try to sneak a boat back in the boot of the car ;)
