Starvin. Yeah Uh Deed. I got one o' them thar darn fla rud holdars. It will also fit any of the mounting points - all I need now is for my darn fly line to turn up. I have been waiting for it nearly a month (if not more). I have sent a couple of texts and apparantely it should have been sent out ages ago - right, it should have been. Maybe it was, but I haven't got it! I am after a 444SL ghost tip - floating intermediate, best combo I can think of. When i find a second hand spool for my Ultralight Disc #8/9 I shall buy it, then I can fish a full sinker too. Until then, the fish will just have to swim up a bit!

Been using an Orvis Cold Saltwater floating line, and Airflo Sinker and intermediate, all cast really nicely but the fish seem to be ignoring my attempts, hopefully more luck this year.

 

You caught that plaice yet?

Excellent photgraphs Simon, Cheers. Orange gasket sealant brings back some nightmare memories of second hand bikes though !

want to buy a well looked after old BMW?.....no orange gasket sealer to be seen - I used blue Hylomar on that one . I use it on the points covers and the like - rocker box covers too. Instead of using it like most folks and putting the covers on while it is still wet I let it go off so you are squashing up a rubberised seal - it DOESN'T get into the oilways then. It can be very nasty if it gets to the oil pump feed.. As a get you home fix it is brilliant - so i have always got a tube under the seat.

You should be more careful who you buy your bikes from in future - I can recommend a good source.......with no VAT!

Working down South this week though, so maybe an assault on the Start Bay flatties is in order - or the Salcombe River ones - probably a better bet it is still early.

Hylomar is great stuff when used properly.

 

Love another bike but the wife will kill me if I add to the 50 year project in the garage
