I'll start off by putting in the one Jaffa posted to another thread today.

My first half decent fishing trip of the year

Launched from Easthaven, Angus, at low water, and headed for a reef about a mile off. Conditions almost too good; with light SW winds pushing the yak against the tide, and keeping me almost stationary. I should have slapped on a big bait and fished as though at anchor, but persisted with baited feathers. Result was 5 codling, all about the three pound mark . Not spectacular fishing, but still a nice start to the season proper. This one tasted damn fine too :

At least they are here now and that 10lber must be there somewhere

Yakity, you better get mended soon mate, even the 3lber puts me on course for that 50p so far!!

Thanks Starvin. The cuckoo wrasse was my best fish.. only 1lb 3oz but 95% specimen. We caught ballan wrasse up to 2lb too. Mackeral, school bass & spider crabs(!) also made an appearance.

Zzippy's bream was a good fish giving a nice fight on light tackle - 1 3/4lb ( a good size for the table ).
