Righting a capsized Yak

Yaskalos

Recommended Posts

Hi All

When I did my practice self-rescues I found it easier to re-right my Caper by swimming to the back and turning it over from there. Using both hands I grabbed the aft end and twisted her over fairly easy. However, I have read about other methods such as using the scupper holes.

Is there a correct way or is it a case of whatever works best for you? Or, does it vary from Yak to Yak?
