I will stock up on Toby lures then.

I was thinking about doing a few trips on the estuary,have a go on the sand bank as the tides running out.The one thats by the bridge that goes from Sheldon to Teignmouth.I plan to beach the yak on the sandbar and fish the run off.I noticed ppl fishing from it last year and was told good bass come from there.The other place I was going to try was way up river by the camp site in Bishopsteington.The tide looks alot slower there.

I know what you mean when you said there was a strong tide near the entrance.I wouldnt dream of yaking from there

I will go with your plan on Dawlish,you cant beat local knowlage,we are the foriegners to that area so will take any advice given

We will have to get a contact number for you closer to the time.

Yes the sandbank you mention is a very good spot, there is a deep gully runs along it.

You get some excellent Flounder up by your camp site too, peeler crab is the bait for them, I expect you already know that

Where the river runs into the sea,go left up the beach about 500 yards,from there, looking out to sea there is another big sand bar,good fun there Mark, its about 150 yds out.

which weekend are you talking about? End of May where it goes into June?

 

If so, I'll try and come down working on the Saturday, unless the weather is pants. Could come down Sat pm and fish Sunday though.

we still on for this weekend, I'm aiming to come down on Saturday afternoon, might try out Ladram Bay Campsite, but that is ultimately up to she who must be obeyed.

 

Will give you a ring Saturday evening, you haven't changed your number since last year have you?

 

I'm up for some fishing on Sunday or Monday, your choice.
