I was out shopping with wife and daughter today. Daughter was driving in some pretty busy traffic and remarked "God, this traffic- it's like a ruddy race track"

At the time she said it she was, completely unknown to her, half way down the Mulsanne straight on the Le Mans 24Hr circuit.

Sort of apt I thought.

Daughters Nos 2 and 3 and their respective families live in the Isle of Man.

 

When we visit, although we avoid TT fortnight, a trip out almost anywhere involves using part of the TT circuit

At all times you have to be vigilant (more vigilant than usual) because throughout the year there are wannabe boy racers hurtling around the TT course, pretending they are Geoff Duke or Mike Hailwood or whoever the modern equivalent is.

Always makes me mutter "Yeah, right, 'cos they are too stupid to think for themselves"
