I just received the following email:-NI Bass Conservation Law renewed.

 

Just heard that the new Minister for the Marine in Ireland has renewed the bass conservation law for a further year.

 

For those of you unfamiliar with the legislation:

 

There shall be no commercial fishing for bass in the Republic of Ireland.

 

Anglers are limited to two fish per 24 hrs.

 

A minimum size limit of 41 cms prevails.

 

No bass shall be retained between May 15th & June 15th.
