....will not open ?

 

Windows 8. I click on mail icon the screen blinks but the mail pane does not open ?

 

The Envelope icon is on the task bar but clicking on it only makes screen blink as though its opened but disapears.

Have you tried a reboot ,mine refused to open "my computer" from the desk top but worked fine from the start button dooda (i use that 10bit start button because i can only understand old) on rebooting it was fine

What about if you unpin it then repin it

right click and end task

then re click the icon.

Antimalware seems too be running at 34.5 MB.

 

Which task should i be ending ?

for outlook it will be Microsoft Outlook.

for win 8 mail it will be called Mail

 

if its not even starting correctly at all then it might not even get listed
