End of season Roundup 2005/06

Flat calm seas and milder weather prevailed for the Whitby Sea Anglers final club match for season 2005/2006. Expectations of good catches were certainly not high and this was reflected in the result with only 1 angler returning to the scales with a fish. Brian Harland continued his late season good run and took first place in the nights match with a rockling of 10 ounces. Brian's late season run came a little too late to give him chance of catching long term league leader Rob Allison, Brian came in a close second overall which is a great achievment in itself.. Rob after a year away from the club returned and took the title of Whitby Sea Anglers league winner for 2005/6. All the club members congratulate Rob on his achievement.

A full summary of all this seasons league positions and competition winners can be found on the clubs Positions page and in the club records section listed under season 2005/2006.

I really struggled to find fish in March m8. A very bad end to the season for me. 4th isnt bad though, cant grumble too much as they are all good anglers. 4th overall,Christmas match winner, doubles knockout winner, most fish and yorkshire 4's winner. Ill have 5 trophies to pick up and a few quid prize money. Im happy, plus I learnt a trick or 2 for next year :) Shhhhhh mums the word. Thoughts now turn to peelering and a bit of bass fishing, oh and getting plenty of makeral for the whiting bait. Might see you out this summer rob.
