We do take an igloo type tent, but only needed it once in 7 trips.

Need a fossicking license though

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

 

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Errr...Some States require that you possess a Miner's Right, but not in the Northern Territory. The number of Miner's Rights issued is very small compared to the number of fossickers.

 

A few photos, only for Cory, you know...

2. Carleton Gorge, Ord River, Western australia, about 1 kilometre below the Lake Argyle Dam.

3. Marella Gorge, Nicholson River, SE Kimberlies, Western Australia.

4. Copper vein from an old mine 5 km from Mary Kathleen uranium mine, Western Queensland.

Errr...Some States require that you possess a Miner's Right, but not in the Northern Territory. The number of Miner's Rights issued is very small compared to the number of fossickers.

5. Hicks Ck Pool, Northern Territory.

6. Sooty grunter, only grow to about 8 lbs in ideal conditions, usually caught to 2 lbs. Feisty little fish.

7. Residents of the Keep River estuary, remote far NW Northern Territory, I go there each year to fish for barramundi, but blanked due to 3 of these 'blokes'.

8. No. 3 Croc.

9. Part fossil of an ammonite, Richmond, far western Queensland.

The amount of gold the average fossicker gets wouldn't pay for a tank of fuel, chesters. But, I take your point. Several "fossickers' buy ther miner's right and spend their time in the "Golden Triangle" of Victoria, using very sophisticated 'beepers' hoping for another "Hand Of Faith'' nugget.
