NFSA - New Chairman

Recommended Posts

Ted Tuckerman has stood down, and Richard Ferre has been appointed as the new chairman of the NFSA.

Richard is currently chairman of the NFSA Conservation and Access Group, and a director of the peak angling body FACT.

He has been instrumental in giving the Conservation and Access group direction and credibility with DEFRA and the government, and is now well versed in the conservation and political issues that need to be addressed by Sea Angling.

As a retired businessman, with a history of managing projects, he brings much needed skills and directed energy to the job. The kind of guy who makes things happen rather than simply talking about what needs to be done.

And with Gerard Twigger's organisational and accounting skills, things might at last be looking up for the future of the NFSA.

Fingers crossed!

:clap2: I've met Richard a few times and he does seem a capable sort of chap, quite possibly just what the NFSA needs to regenerate interest. We live in hope, fingers crossed. :clap2:
