I may regret this but...I've ordered an Airflo Ridge Line

I may well regret it, but I've ordered on in WF5 - more out of curiosity than anything else.

The magazine reviews are actually quite good, if they are to be believed!

Hey ho :lol::headhurt:

I was using the Airflo Tarpon lines; intermediate and floating, in Cuba and did not have a problem with either, the high temperature seems to cure the memory problems.

After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

Some are good.....some are appalling. I use an Airflo 10 weight intermediate slime line and its as good as anything else that I 've tried. I binned the floater, it coiled so badly that you probably could have opened a bottle of wine with it.

I bought one of the early floaters and like you say it was almost unuseable. I was actually not too upset when I trod on it and it broke clean in half!

Some of their sinking lines ar OK but I've never had a floater that I would use twice <_<

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

Now that I've finally managed tro use it, I can honestly say.....I'm impressed!

Despite numerous reports of memory problems, my line lies straight (I did give it a good stretch before loading it onto the reel), and it casts really well.

My only critisism (well, I've got two actually), is that the line didn't really load the rod properly - if anyone is going to buy one, you might want to consider going up a weight. The second critisism is that it comes with welded loops incorporated into the line. The loop at the reel end is a bonus, but the loop at the tippet end sticks out like a sore thumb. I cut it off and replaced it with a standard braided loop.

Glad (and surprised) to hear you haven't wasted your money. Well, that's one they've sold! Any more takers?;)
