FLOAT PLAN.

 

 

This is the one I came up with, some of you may be able to improve on it.

 

 

Appoint.....Paddle leader / Responsible person.

 

Venue.

 

Total Number in party

 

Names and addresses-Emergency contact numbers for all.

 

Make and colour of Kayak being used on the day.

 

Vehicle Reg make and colour.

 

Agreed Launch site.

 

Time of launch.

 

Areas / Boundries for ALL to fish inside.

 

Special considerations / Novices / AGREED action to follow for ANY paddler leaving the group for what ever reason.

 

Time of exit, and where.

 

ALL members of fishing party to check back in when on shore.

 

Notify Coastguard or responsible, contactable person / persons, of your FLOAT PLAN.

 

Larger events, bigger meetings, should have the cover of a safety boat.

 

When the party are all back safe, notify relevent shore based contacts that all is well, and that the event has ended without incident.
