Sea angling license

Recommended Posts

I received this e mail from Environment agency ..........

Dear Brian

Thank you for your enquiry about the introduction of sea rod licences,

Proposals were put forward to Defra, but these were not carried

forward. Therefore, there are no plans at this present time to

introduce sea rod licences.

Rumours have been going around to the effect that we are about to introduce a sea rod licence ........these rumours are not true at all.

I trust you find this information helpful and it resolves your

enquiry.

Kind regards

Sue Boyd

Yes but why seek the ability through legislation to charge and introduce bag limits in the future - ie the marine bill. I do not trust this lot for one moment. You might not be getting a licence now, but id wager a tenner with any of you that you see 1 inside the next 10 years if this governement stay in power. Trust them at your peril.

God help us Glenn, if they stay another 10 years the whole country will be ****ed, never mind the fishery!

The thing is, if we do get a licence it won't necessarily be the EA who we pay. It could be DEFRA or your local SFC. Then you'll know your money is going down the drain.

Do the E/A want to be responsable for it. I have heard they would love it.
