Surely fundamentalists would prefer lobster pots rather than crab pots. Them being optimists an all.

It's not when seals expand and move into areas where previous there wasn't any, you would feel different if it was your nets and fish being damaged or it was your long line with nothing but heads and mutilated fish left for you to haul, there is now a full blown colony here where 10 years ago there was none.

 

During and just after periods of bad weather seal pups can sometimes be seen , often in distress along the n. Yorks coast.This is one of natures way of controlling their numbers. In pre PC days they were left to die but now they are scooped up and go to the seal hospital for rest and relaxation. When they are released back they associate man with food and become even more of a problem. They will be treated as outsiders to any seals in the area of release and may need to start colonising new areas.

Another example of man unnecessarily interfering with nature. Something I dispise.

You might be right, I may feel differently under situations such as those, but I do hope that I would not all the same.
