JV44 catches 6lb chub. Pic and report to follow.

Been a struggle this winter a couple of small ones early on in the winter but then blank after blank bumped what felt like a good fish the other night on the kennet and lost one to a snag on the Thames a few weeks ago just thought it wasn't going to happen esp after more than a few evening sesh with matthew came to nowt so went to a section I haven't fished for ages and there were a couple of barbell guys there gutted middle of nowhere and midweek 2 others fishing the 2 spots I had in mind but never mind I tuck in a couple of swims below the first angler drop 6 balls of wonder cheese paste cast out rod bangs round after maybe I minute I miss it here we go again re bait re cast counting in my head got to 1 min thirty and it bangs round again loads of pressure to keep it out of snag and viola faith is restored enthusiasm rekindled going again with matthew Thursday and the Rustmiester Saturday suprising what a fish can do ......rubbish picky but you get the jist

Bob thanks it was actually very mild mind you I had eleventy nine layers on thinking it would be cold heat exhaustion by the time I walked back to the car ,First bite came in the first minute missed it as I always seem to with early chances re baited and boom ....the Barbel guys said to me when I arrived oh never get any chub down here then his phone rang his mate at other end of the field ringing to say he had just caught a Chub lol .....trying to put me off face I reckon
