Yes exactly! I'm at the Thames now waiting for swims to settle, only fishing 3 today but conditions seem pretty good, as long as the little bit of snow melt didn't put them off. Will soon find out. This bit has been very difficult this year (only 1 chub in total so far, and that was in November!) so who knows if today will be the day...

I had one, a good one too, 6.06 - very pleased with that. I was a bit lucky to land him as he wedged himself solid in some tough vegetation. Eventually between us we got him out ok! I had one other little tiny one too, which gave me a really vicious bite, I thought I'd be striking into a monster...!

I think I'll try a different bit tomorrow. It's running through pretty fast, deceptively so considering how low it is.

Yes it was a chilly day, one of those when there was no sign of any fish but if you have a run of those then the odds of a good one start to shorten. All of that means that I should go again tomorrow but it's going to be a colder day so I won't be going any further than Waitrose.

I can't decide what to do tomorrow. I never catch 2 days running at the bit I fished today so that's out, and the choice is then a different bit of the Thames or back to the other smaller river. Difficult choice, the smaller river should produce a bite or two but if I do get one from the Thames it could be a biggie. Will have to sleep on it I think :)
