Saw Phooey on the run off to home as I was heading out, looks like you had a great time and yet another speciman to add to the list :D

 

Nice bass as well, did the prisoners chuck anything at you :D

we did have a great time --- we've had some top sessions lately :thumbs:

 

wish the prisoners had chucked some spare tackle :wallbash:

I eventually dozed off and was woken by the feel of the rod jumping around in my hands - I struck into the fish and felt the satisfying bend - a decent fish !

 

And it was, a Bass - measured at 70cm on the nose :yeah:

 

 

 

so you sleep in these things?! :o

Hamble was beautiful, saw one boil, too late with the cast, one very large mullet slurping along the side of a motor launch, to scared and one 30ft motor launch stuck on the mud mid channel at high water :( guess he'll be wait six months to get off and I hooked something smaller than the fly, before it jumped hook whilst I was laughing at it.

 

Water was too coloured for flyfishing, should have taken some bait.

Mine's kitted out with air cushions and a backrest for comfort !

 

Its hard work staying awake all night - or all day when its nice and sunny :)

Just remember the hat and shades or you will wake up medium/rare :P

yep,had a lovely kip on the Hamble river the other week,woke up and every hook was bare----wouldn't recommend it tho :nonono:
