They are around a mile before the Ferrybridge on the right hand side on the main road to Portland from Weymouth.

Paddling out the depth went down to 40 feet almost straight away and stayed there until we paddled out of the SOUTH entrance. Tall peeps beware on high tides as there is a power cable strung across it !

 

The powercable is about 6 feet high at its lowest point...without gear should be able to clear it... but with rods vertical on kayak no chance - toast. Best to paddle to the left or right hand side of the southern entrance where the cable is strung higher. Small boats pass through the right hand side when passing out of the harbour.
